A Mirror’s Edge

Photographic projects have taken filmmaker Vincent van de Wijngaard to more than 70 countries, and 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s latest campaign, ‘A Mirror’s Edge’, saw a creative team wandering barefoot into the ethereal sandscapes and scrambling in covetable Lim sandals across the otherworldly oasis of South Africa.

We love how the textural prints (which from memory were inspired by geodes) reflect the striking rock forms, and the brilliant light from the mirror and the crystalline surfaces of the water nod to the high-shine mirror lenses of the eyewear that accompanied the runway show. Or that’s what we got anyway…
