Cool chameleon Agyness Deyn, former English superdoopermodel and the face of the late noughties (for a while there her face was splashed on literally every magazine cover and every major campaign) has seemingly been laying very low of late, possibly, and understandably, just taking a breather from the intensity of the limelight that was pointed directly on her every movement for several years.
The only recent murmurs we’d heard regarding the movements of Miss Deyn were in regard to her collabs with Dr Martens, so we’re very excited by the news that she’s back on the fashion scene – this time designing the clothing rather than rocking it.
‘Title A’ is the name of said project, a youthful and contemporary label with a strong focus on well-cut suiting and basics, and priced rather reasonably we think – from US$100 for a cropped tee to $625 for a wool coat.
Launching in March and initially selling from titlea.com (there’s nothing there as yet, and yes we are going to try and overlook that it can be read as tit-lea, giggle), four seasonal collections per year is apparently Aggy’s plan.
Personally we’re loving what we’ve seen so far – a big dose of 90’s teen awkwardness (sheeny dresses, long tube skirts with high slits and jazzy jackets have us reminiscing about school dances) fused with a relaxed, versatile mood that’s so right now.
