Haven Series: Talia

Alex and I shot at my house on the [North] Shore. I’ve lived here for about 10 years and have created so many memories here, so I thought it would be the perfect place to shoot. It’s a place where I feel comfortable and relaxed – and the morning sun streaming through the windows made it even more perfect.

This shoot felt different to others I’ve done as this one was a lot more chilled and easy going. We wandered around my house and outside, just shooting wherever felt right. There was no need for dozens of people and a bunch of technical equipment; it was super simple with just two people and a camera.

The jeans I’m wearing are Nuew Denim Rollas and I basically live in them, like, literally. They’re so comfortable and go with everything – I may as well not bother taking them off. They’re my go to for school when I don’t know what to wear, so I wear them basically every day! I just chucked the little crop top on with them to keep the look casual and relaxed, as if I was just spending the day at home. My style is super casual with a few ‘wow’ pieces here and there. I love everything vintage and take my inspiration from the 70s and 90s.

How would I describe myself?! Always a really hard question to answer… but I would say I’m someone who is quietly confident, easy going, positive and open minded. I asked one of my best friends how she would describe me and she said I’m someone who’s always smiling and doesn’t take life too seriously. My star sign is Gemini and I would say that I’m a pretty true Gemini.

I definitely have the whole two sides of my personality thing along with curiosity and the inability to be still. I’ve been told a lot that my look is very unique – which I’d have to agree with and I think it’s pretty cool to be unique and different.

I feel most comfortable whenever I’m with my family and friends. Whether that’s cuddled up watching movies, down at the beach, exploring or gossiping over coffee – as long I’m surrounded by happiness and love.
