Natural Beauty: Dry Shampoo

As part of an ongoing series in collaboration with Glasshouse Salon, we’re bringing you simple beauty recipes you can make at home with everyday natural ingredients. It’s the perfect way to make sure you know exactly what you’re putting onto your skin and hair, and avoid unnecessary chemicals.

Dry shampoo is a time saver no-brainer for busy ladies, although it can leave hair feeling over-dry, dull and full of build-up. We’ve created this lush homemade dry shampoo, the ultimate natural fix when you’re in a rush.

The best bit is this concoction will keep, so whip it up and whack it on when you’re time taxed.

Natural Dry Shampoo

Finely ground oatmeal
Baking soda
Lavender or dried rosebuds (optional)

Mix together the two ingredients in equal parts.

Apply the mixture to roots, wait a minute or two before brushing out very thoroughly with a soft cushion brush.

Add a little glamour to this recipe by sprinkling a dash of lavender or dried rose buds in to the mix for fabulous floral-scented hair.
