Runway Hair: Dolce & Gabbana

Fashion month is over… until next time… As always it’s been a magical thing to follow, not just for the clothes, the shows and the front rows, but also behind the scenes, out front on the street – and of course the hair and makeup! We had a series of emails come our way last week from Milan and Paris via Redken, outlining some of the beautiful hair styling that went down and how the looks were created. A lot of them were surprisingly simple ideas (perfectly executed of course) – which we love at Undone – so we selected a few of our favourites we thought could be most easily recreated at home… Have fun, and happy hair!

“I created a soft, ethereal hairstyle that was respectful of the way the designers have defined the Dolce & Gabbana woman. I used a very small amount of product to give the hair some friction and texture, but where it still felt soft. Once the hair was pinned back, I pulled out a few tendrils to add even more softness around the face. Dolce & Gabbana always take a soft approach to women’s beauty.”

Create the look:
Apply Body Full Volume Amplifier to damp hair. Blowdry hair with a round brush. Use a curling iron to add soft waves to the hair. Lightly spray Pillow Proof Blowdry Two Day Extender (available in New Zealand in April) on the mid-lengths and ends. Create a loose braid. Twist the braid around and pin into place.
