Homemade sesame seed milk is really, really easy to make. The flavour is gloriously rich. It makes the best chia pudding and is amazing in smoothies.
1 cup of sesame seeds – soaked overnight and rinsed well
4 cups of water
5-6 medjool dates
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extra
pinch sea salt or pink Himayalan salt
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes.
Strain your milk through muslin or a nutmilk bag. Squeeze tightly to remove all the liquid.
Store in a glass jar or bottle. Will last in the fridge up to four days.
