Take Me Home

Really it was that thick, solid, humble-feeling ceramic crockery, lozenge-shaped plates, deep bowls, shallow or mini, big coffee cups or petite – in the absolute perfect wash of pale pink, yes, pale pink – that drew us in.

And yes we bought a set or maybe two, and then went back for more, but while we were there found ourselves toting items in rose-gold metal and brass for our home desks up to the counter, then black and white check tea towels (they come in a pack of three and have towelling cotton on one side, and woven cotton on the other, honestly a drying dream), then some cool grey towels, then some delicate pieces of glassware for who knows/cares what…

Our point? Hmmm. Firstly that drinking tea out of a pink mug is one of the sweetest things and simplest pleasures a girl could ask for in life, secondly just that we feel like Country Road has upped its homeware offering this season and that it’s a nice place to be in and drop a few dollars at right now.

We’re currently on a bit of a homeware thang, so stay tuned for further lyrical waxing on bed linen, prints, plants, crystals, books for show, cool things you can make that don’t involve dry macaroni or hot glue, and lots more, coming very soon…
