The dancer doesn’t abandon her lightness and grace after hours. She carries it with her, pulling at her ballet bun and abandoning pointe shoes to greet the sidewalk. A photograph by Erwin Blumenfeld of Russian-born ballerina, Alexandra Danilova, anchors the range. The unguarded intimacy of the portrait was inspiring for RUBY designer Deanna Didovich, who was drawn to the image’s peek-backstage nature. Tonight, Tonight welcomes the off-duty dancer, promising as much beauty and fun in her wardrobe as is found on stage. No grand plies required.
