Meet our newest Undone Girl Emma, former urbanite, recently turned country gal, who’s now likely to be found growing vegetables in Miss Crabb or knitting on the porch in Lonely Lingerie… Stay tuned for her updates and observations on rural life for the modern fashionista on Undone Journal…
I’m 25 and work in digital marketing/social media in Auckland.
I recently made the move from the central city to way out on the rural fringe – with a sprawling farmhouse that we’re in love with.
I grew up in Australia and Papua New Guinea before moving to Auckland where I went to high school and then studied fashion design. I’ve done an assortment of styling, writing and design work since then – finding my niche, priorities and what makes me happy.
Days are spent at my desk, and nights and weekends are spent cooking, gardening and playing long games of pool with my boyfriend and flatmates.
I’m obsessed with Jane Birkin, house plants, Celine, mid-century modernism and Japan (the best place on earth, after home) among many other things. Currently relishing a new pace of life – and the combination of a steady job with the freedom and peace of country living. Not to mention letting go of all the things that don’t matter and that life’s too short for.
