While we love showcasing our beautiful local models in Undone editorials, we’re really excited to launch this new series of ‘Undone Go-Sees’ that shows off the individuality, personality, character and natural beauty the girls don’t always get to express in their work.
We’re asking each girl to tell us a little about themselves, and as for images, we’ve asked simply for what’s known in the business as ‘digis’ – off-the-cuff snaps on regular cameras of the models at their most natural, fresh-faced, untouched and ‘everyday’.
So, meet Ella…
Hi I’m Ella
I’m New Zealand European
I’m 178cm tall
I’m signed to Kirsty Bunny Management
My instagram is @ellacoco_
I actually first got scouted when I was about 13 in Auckland by Sara Tetro, but my parents felt I was too young so nothing came of it. Then while watching a 2013 Kathryn Wilson show, Katherine Lowe took some sneaky photos of me which she posted to her blog with the message “If I wasn’t sitting across a catwalk with a show in progress at a BMW showroom in Wellington city, I would’ve tried to scout her. Instead I just took a creepy stalker photo. Girl in the picture, if that is you, I suggest you give a modelling agency a call.” After a few weeks of contemplating I got in touch with Kirsty!
Favourite modelling experience so far? Such a hard question! Each photoshoot or show has taught me new things and given me the opportunity to meet many awesome creatives. However, I’d have to say it was very exciting walking for Zambesi in SHOW 2015.
My dream modelling gig is definitely to walk in Paris fashion week.
My fave model is Inka Williams, I think she’s absolutely gorgeous and has such a unique look. I love her big Bambi eyes and her instagram is insane. I also love Miranda Kerr, her style is always on point and I admire her ambition not only in modelling but other areas such as in the health and wellness industry.
Mostly on weekends I spend time with my family and friends, sometimes I might have work or uni assignments.
My happy place would be a hot summer’s day at our house on the Kapiti coast – surrounded by family and good food.
One of the books I read recently was Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff, and it’s definitely a book I will re-read. It’s all about living life in a calmer and less stressful way, it really puts things into perspective and makes you re-evaluate your priorities.
Something about me that only my friends and family know about me would probably be that I talk in my sleep, my dad has actually managed to have a conversation with me once!
I’m in love with my amazing brown Massimo Dutti leather bag I bought recently in Florence.
I recently bought a long list of things from Victorias Secret while I was in LA, with a price tag I probably shouldn’t mention!
A must-have beauty item for me would be my Studio Sculpt superblack lash MAC mascara.
